Strategy Of Love - October Newsletter

Interestingly last month I took a good long look in my own social media mirror and saw that as much as I was taking lots of lovely time away from social media, which felt good, I was not being consistent or using my own strategies to show up in the space.

I fully support having breaks and working in seasons and cycles, however having had much of the summer off, I was starting to linger longer in a liminal space than felt good. These moments sometimes show up as wobbles and doubts, a feeling of ‘should I just give it up and go get a 'proper' job?’ can pop up– even after fifteen years of success in this space of self-employment! Luckily, over the years, I have learnt to ride the waves of doubt when they re-surface. I recommit. I integrate my knowing and honour the journey, I don’t judge it, instead I know when it is time to show up and play again and I get excited about what this energy will create…

“Following your own unique rhythms and cycles – going back to your core/radix/source or origin – is especially hard if you are anchored to external time-lines. When events or goals are expected to materialise within an arbitrary timeframe to keep pace with the Yang extravert male culture we live in, they will often be out of sync with where you are in your current cycle of Incubate/Create/Play/Retreat, making you feel unsupported, lost, impatient, or anxious. But the truth is, being out of sync is also part of the growth process. This is the quantum realm of uncertainty and entanglement. Nothing is ever clear cut here. Just notice that the more you trust your own organic cycles, the less relevant linear time-lines become.“

One way that I find really supports this way of being, both in business and on social media, and certainly helps me navigate any feelings of overwhelm, is having a Strategy of Love…

We forget that we are still in the business of relationships, rather than algorithms, when we use social media, so we ‘think’ we have to post every day, or three times a day and use all the hashtags in order for social media to work for our business. That we have to be in people’s timelines all the time, gaining lots of new followers and likes everyday for people to see us, to see the value in us, to remember us, to want to buy from or work with us.

I'm hoping that the 'social media blackout of 2021' (lol) will have taught us that it is the relationships we have we one another that count, and that these cross platforms, cross time and space - which doesn't exist the same in the digital dimension.

When a connection is made in someone’s heart, and someone wants to work with you and reaches out to you, it is not down to amount of content you post, that frequency of posts, but it the intention and energy of your posts - the other kind of frequency - which really matters.

I have a very lovely story to share about this, as last week I got a message from a woman whose work I adore, asking me more about my business… The timing of it all was the wink I needed from the universe, as my newly energised social media activity and strategy of love all aligned in the most perfect of ways, that I could never make up, that led to her saying…

“No wonder I felt compelled to reach out to you!”

11 simple things to support a Strategy of Love:

1 Put time in the diary to LOVE on your social media rather than doing it on the fly.

2 Draw a heart map – write down all the thing you LOVE about social media.

3 Set intentions – Start with – What do you want your social media to do for your audience? What do you want it to do for you? How can LOVE be given and received?

4 Create a Framework To Flow Within for your content that can be lovingly, easily and joyfully created /recycled / remixed consistently.

5 Ask yourself, ‘What’s your frequency?’ – How many times would you LOVE to post per week? What feels good? What content would you LOVE to create / use / share?

6 Sit down to create & schedule posts for the next week or two from this place!

7 Tune into SPIRIT, SOURCE and your LIGHT energy – let LOVE guide you here…

8 Infuse and bless the posts with LOVE as you upload them.

9 Sit back, breathe, relax. TRUST, LOVE and LET GO – to do its thing in the digital dimension while you exist day to day EMBODIED in the PHYSICAL one.

10 Have loving boundaries around when you check and respond to messages, comments and engagement.

11 Be personal and personable with people online – reply with / send voices notes & authentically LOVE bomb the people you want to connect with further.

ALLOW THE MAGIC TO UNFOLD.

And report back to me when it does!!

If you would like help creating a Strategy of Love for your social media, I support clients one to one or if you prefer group work – I am starting to run regular workshops both online and in person.

"You helped me get past the blocks that consistently come up for me in my business – which as a solo business owner can be quite frequent if we get caught up in all the stories!"

Having delivered my signature strategy workshop online every 3 months and to over 500 people in the past 18 months, my recent in person workshop in Glastonbury was SO different! I was able to use all my tools including sound crystal grids, cards and guided visualisation journeys differently in this session. Plus I noticed how everyone wants to share so much more in person. I could see the energy moving as perspectives and stuck energy shifted. It was a magical experience.

"I would love to do this with you every few months because I think we get caught up in the energies around social media. I had totally forgotten all the joy and rich connections social media has brought me; thank you for helping me to fall back in love with social media and my business."

The next one in Glastonbury will be on Friday 19th November, on the full moon lunar eclipse, let me know if you would like to join me for that!

"Absolutely LOVED our time!! Katie your magic is a wonder! Thank you so much for this opportunity to do in person! I have much to mull over and apply as always - thank you thank you thank you :) "

I will be doing an online version too for those of you unable attend in person and wanting to receive the magic of this work. I will send out details for that when a time and date lands for it. Do let me know if you are wanting some help navigating, being with and using social media right now.

Love Katie x

Any social media workshops you've been to look like this? 🙋🏽‍♀️🌟😇🥰
